今月は中旬まで、さまざまな作家の作品をご覧いただけます。

写真は早水恵一郎さんの和紙と漆の一閑張の作品。
紙漉きから手がけ、和紙を何層にも重ねた独自の技法によって、独特の質感と形を生み出しています。

仕上げには蒔地漆が施され、さらに火山灰を混ぜることで、ざらりとした質感と深みのある表情が生まれています。

この作品は、立体的なフォルムで柔らかな印象を持ちながら、重厚な素材感を持ち合わせています。
もちろん食器としてご使用いただけますので、おつまみや和菓子などにどうぞ。

鹿児島生まれ / 多摩美術大学卒
岐阜の美濃にて手漉き和紙の工程を学んだ後、地元の鹿児島にて紙漉きを始める。

We are open today with a permanent exhibition.
A variety of artists’ works will be on display until mid-month.

The piece in the photo is an Ikkanbari work by Keiichiro Hayamizu, made from handmade washi paper and lacquer.

Starting from the papermaking process, he layers multiple sheets of washi using his unique technique, creating distinctive textures and forms.

The final finish is achieved with makiji lacquer, and volcanic ash is mixed in to give the surface a rough texture and a rich, organic expression.

While the piece has a sculptural and soft impression, it also carries a sense of weight and depth.

It is, of course, suitable for use as tableware—perfect for serving small dishes, appetizers, or traditional Japanese sweets.

Born in Kagoshima / Graduated from Tama Art University
After studying the process of handmade washi in Mino, Gifu, he returned to his hometown in Kagoshima to begin making his own paper.
